residence of Diego Columbus—son of Admiral Columbus, the National Pantheon, and

casinos, and around town. Regular
visitors to Punta Cana like to visit The Bamboo Bar, next door to the Bamboo
Restaurant in the Punta Cana Resort & Club in Higuely, in the Tortuga Bay
area. This bar, open from 10 a.m. to 12
p.m. offers a restful atmosphere where you can try some of the famous Dominican
rums and other exotic cocktails. Another
hot spot at night is The Mangu Night Club.
It’s located at the entrance of The Occidental Grand Punta Cana Resort. The Mangu has two levels; a ground floor with
a dance floor plays top 40 music, while upstairs it’s a techno music scene. The club is open from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Areito
is a club where locals and
tourists get together to have fun and dance. The nightclub is located in the Caribe
Club Princess hotel resort. There are 2 dance areas in the club, one area
mainly has merengue, salsa and bachata music while the
other one has international music. They have a big screen TV where you can
watch music videos. Pacha disco features
live shows with many bands of merengue and bachata from the Caribbean area for a
small fee. This disco is located at the
Riu hotel resort complex and is the biggest one in the area. The shows are presented every day from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am. This awesome place offers a variety of
drinks and different types of music like: rock, pop, salsa, merengue, and also
hip hop. At midnight is the time when
the night life in Punta Cana starts picking it up. The clubs get packed with people of all
nationalities: American, Dominican, French, Canadian, Dutch, German, etc. If you are not into the club scene then try
one of the casinos, which remain open to
4:00 am, and may have a disco inside. Casino at Capa Cana is the first in the zone,
and it includes Beautiful manmade waterfalls.
