  • Makena Big & Little Beach. One of the longest beaches in Hawaii, these beaches feel secluded and often are. Located down a small road, Big Beach's long stretch of white sand is breathtaking. It's a great swimming beach but can get rough. Little Beach (clothing optional) is a secluded cove just around the north rocks of Big Beach. It’s a great place to snorkel and find sea turtles.

  • Honolua—Molule'ia. Just a few minutes north of Kapalua, this beautiful protected marine reserve provides some of the best snorkeling and swimming and it is also a popular surfing beach.
  • Kapalua Bay. This beach has beautiful, clean sand, clear water, and lots of lava rocks that make it a perfect snorkel spot.
  • Napili Bay. This is one of the most beautiful and scenic bays in Maui. The small white sand beach is gorgeous, and there is great snorkeling on the edges of the bay. You can enjoy a good meal at one of the local resorts' beach restaurants.
  • Sugar Beach. Located between Ma'alaea and Kihei, this beach is a beautiful white sand beach that is popular for windsurfing, swimming, and enjoying the sun's golden rays.
  • Launiupoko Beach Park. Located minutes south of Lahaina, this pristine black sand beach has green lawns and a swimming pond for children. Families love to picnic here.
